Kobe LUMINARIE
And finally I'm back in Owariasahi at my host family's place again. I arrived at about 6 'o clock PM at the station in Owariasahi and was pick up by my host family's mother and their children.
I posted a short entry about my demonstration lesson, but now I will post more detailed about my weekend in Kobe and the things I did.
As I already mentioned I had my demonstration lesson on Friday from 9:30 AM to 2:10 PM. Well the demonstration lesson itself didn't last that long only about 15~20 minutes followed by some activities, games, etc together with another teacher and the children of pre-school and elementary class. It was quite funny to work and play together with these children and the teachers were really nice and helpful. The only person who didn't seem to like me was the new head teacher of their school. She seemed to be very very serious and kind of angry towards the children of her class. She was also the one, who told me that she will contact me this week by e-mail about the result and if I 'm able to join their school as a teaching position or if I have to keep on looking for a job.
During the demonstration lesson I taught some new vocabulary by flash cards, a short game and some repeating exercises, so it was nothing special nor very difficult for me to do.
After this visit at Kobe Zoo-Phonics school I had a short meeting with a guy of CLARK foreign language school, who showed me their school faculties, told me more about their curses and offers and also handed me some brochures and leaflets out. Furthermore, I also visited HUMAN Japanese language academy in Kobe closed to CLARK foreign language, where a women told me a lot about their school, their courses, their offers, etc and also handed me some brochures out.
Well, let's see if it works out fine regarding my job at this language school. At least I hope so.
On Saturday my boyfriend and me want studying at a cafe somewhere in Sannomiya drinking some coffee and eating some sweets. In the evening we decided to watch this "LUMINARIE" organized once a year in Kobe as the website says. Well, I didn't expected much of it because I didn't knew much about it, but it was quite fun. There were a huge - a really huge - number of people taking the tour road to this event, but my boyfriend and I took some kind of shortcut so we didn't had to walk through the whole city for watching these lights.
Arrived at the end of this event we saw the colorful lights in the sky build up to a tunnel followed by a lot of strange kiosk and sores selling food, candies, souvenirs, etc. My boyfriend and I weren't that much impressed by these lights, but it was nice. Therefore we really enjoyed trying strange food sold at kiosks and small stores there. There were a lot of things I haven't see before, but also things my boyfriend hasn't seen before even he is Japanese.

Awww I miss Luminarie... and OMG did you have the ichigo-daifuku?! They look SO yummy♥
