Japan Travel Report 3
Almost 6 weeks passed since I'm living in Owariasahi, which is close to Nagoya city. Therefore I decided to make a short travel report entry about Nagoya city, its sightseeing possibilities, food, etc. Well, I haven't been to that much places yet, but I think it's enough to tell at least a bit about it.
Nagoya is the forth popular city of Japan according Wikipedia, but actually you can't find many travel guide books about Nagoya area compared to the huge number of books, magazines, articles about traveling in Tokyo or Kyoto.
Most foreign tourist would never think of stopping by at Nagoya during their Japan trip. Actually they just visit Tokyo and spend their last days in Kyoto by going there by Shinkansen. Isn't it like this? There are exceptions, but that's what it is like. Mostly.
Nagoya
If you come to Nagoya, you will be able to find everything that belongs to a major city in Japan. A TV tower, a ferry wheel, a zoo, an aquarium, temples, shrines, a castle, a stadium, Japanese gardens, museums and art galleries. So who said you can't spend your time visiting Nagoya for sightseeing?
Regarding food, Nagoya is famous for Tebesaki, Tenmusu, Misokatsu, Ogura Toast, Misonikomi Udon and probably much more things I didn't note down.
There are a lot of things to see and visit in Nagoya. I just picked out a few I will introduce to you in a few sentences and some pictures, but there are a lot of more thing to visit.
If the weather is fine, it's worth to go up there for enjoying the view over Nagoya. Especially the night view is very impressive.
