Japanese language school & future plans

Yesterday and today I didn't had to work since I'm having 2 days off a week, but weekends there are a lot of customers visiting the shop, so I have to work at the weekend, but that's alright because I will have holidays from 22nd December - 4th January visiting my boyfriend in Kobe and spending New Year on Kyushu with his university friends and his father.
But unfortunately we will go there by bus since it's cheaper than go there by airplane or Shinkansen as you should know. I mentioned it a hundred times, and I think I won't stop mentioning that I just hate it to drive bus especially during the night because I just can't sleep while driving bus. This time we will go there together so it may be won't be that bad - he said, but I think that won't change a lot. haha.

A few days ago I also posted something about that I'm thinking about going back to Germany more early since times are tough without money in a foreign country. Well, now I'm working at a pastry shop not making big bucks, but it's better than earning nothing, sitting at home all day long and thinking, thinking and thinking. So that's quite good I think.
Well, I'm always researching in the internet about Japanese language schools, universities, colleges, etc because I'm intending to continue my studies abroad in Japan, but well a golden key can open any door.
I just don't own a golden key.

Working at this pastry shop now and found out that YMCA [a association in Japan also offering Japanese language courses regarding college or university preparation courses] language schools offer two different way of paying fees I won't go back to Germany before July. There's the usual one every language school offers - just paying the whole money 5 months before your chosen language course starts, but also the possibility to pay 3 times smaller fees every 6 months starting one month before entering school - so yay me! There are people giving poorer people the chance to reaching their goals even they are not the children of rich parents. Therefore I'm having new plans. haha.
Well, I didn't decide yet on which YMCA I will study Japanese since my boyfriend wants me to go to Kyushu while I want to go to Kobe's YMCA. But we'll see.
I'm planning to attend the 1.5 years course starting in October 2011 ending in March 2013. But because my working holiday visa is only valid until July 2011 and I need to change my visa status to "college student" status I have to go back to Germany in July for changing my visa status and visiting my family and friends once again before a more tougher time of studies, studies and tears will follow since Japanese schools and Japanese language schools can't be compared to European schools. They're just not funny.
This is also the point my boyfriend worries about since I haven't been to a Japanese high school he thinks I don't know about it. Well, it's true that I haven't been to a Japanese school and I don't know about the toughness of its studies, but I wanna do it. I really want to do this - so I don't care if it forces me to study 24 hours a day, 7 days a week since it's my dream.
During my high school time in Germany I just didn't do anything - that's right. I came back from school after sleeping during the classes, had lunch and started playing online games while phoning with friends via Skype until 3 or 4 o' clock in the morning, went to bed and got up at 6' o clock. Gosh, I was a freak. haha. But I didn't want to study, so I just didn't do it. That's the difference.
Attending a 1.5 year-course at YMCA will make me living alone the first time in my life, so I have to think carefully, which YMCA I will choose since I haven't been living alone before. There always was someone, like family, boyfriend or at least my host family.
If I will choose to go to Fukuoka, on Kyushu, I'm quite sure I will miss my boyfriend since I'm really a cry-baby regarding leaving my boyfriend even for a few weeks. But Fukuoka living expenses are more cheaper than in Kobe or Kansai area generally.
But the YMCA in Fukuoka doesn't offer that much facilities like the one in Kobe and that's something I will miss I think. There is a PC and media room, a study room and a library, but the Kobe one also offers a pool, a gym, cafeteria and free space for students, what's quite good I think.
I think I should make a list about the advantages and disadvantages of each school, it surrounding and it's located city instead of listing all my thoughts here. hehe.

Well, that's what I currently planning to do and since I'm working at this pastry shop now I'm able to earn some money as well. Therefore I'm quite sure I will be able to enter this school and continue my Japanese studies at YMCA's language school even if it will be very tough compared to some other language schools. If I will attend YMCA's 1.5 year-course I will be forced to study a lot because I will take the JLPT Level 2.

One Response so far.
