It's Valentine's Day soon...

Dear readers,

It's been a while since my last update.
Actually I wanted to close this blog since I became very busy with school and work in Japan the last few weeks. Because of this I only used twitter for some short tweets and tumblr for posting several random pictures the last time.
However, I somehow missed blogging like before and decided to keep on doing this blog even if I'm busy and maybe won't be able to update that often.

There happened a lot of things since I'm studying abroad in Japan at a college in Kobe.
Let it put me into a nutshell...

October 2011: entered college in Kobe and started studying Japanese while taking part at a university preparations program.
November 2011: I made new friends - most are from China and Korea- and finally started cooking, well at least making my Bento [Japanese lunch box] by myself. Gosh, I'm such terribly bad at cooking. (___ .)
December 2011: While studying hard for the exam before winter break, we worked hard together on the drama we played at the school's Christmas party the day before winter break.
January 2012: Already spent 3 months in Japan and was able to do a part-time job from now on, but it took me a long time to find one. Well since January I'm working at a convenience store after I moved. Yes, I'm living on my own for the first time and it's harder than I expected, but luckily my boyfriend is living in the same town, so I can ask him whenever there are problems.
February 2012: I will be 20 years old soon. And what does this mean? I'm allowed to drink legally in Japan as well. (*V*)haha!

Since it's February now, I'm quite busy, because the semester will end on March and there are still 2 big exams to pass before spring break.
On Monday, I will turn into 20 and I'm still not sure if I should be happy about this or not. Well, at least I will be allowed to drink/buy alcohol and cigarettes legally in Japan as well.
But the thing I'm worrying about the most is Valentine's Day. In Germany both - the girlfriend & the boyfriend- are exchanging presents for Valentine's Day, but in Japan, a typically Valentine's gift is handmade chocolate given to the boy by the girlfriend or a girl, who likes this guy. To be honest, I never made chocolate by myself and since I'm bad at cooking, I'm not sure if I can make some good/cute chocolate for my friends/classmates [Tomo- and Giri-chocolate], but also some good chocolate for my boyfriend.

I'm thinking about making Cup-chocolate & spoon-chocolate as 'Tomo- and Giri-choco' for my friends and classmates, but didn't decided yet what kind of chocolate I'm going to make for my boyfriend. The truth is, he isn't a great fan of chocolate, so even if I'm able to make some good -at least good in appearance- chocolate, I'm not sure if he will eat it or just leave it the way it is. Maybe I should make some cupcakes or cookies for him instead.
What are you guys thinking? Should I try to make some chocolate for him?

Have you already decided what you're going to make/give away for Valentine's Day this year?
