Sakura - Spring in Japan
Lately I'm very busy because I will go back to Germany this Sunday and there are still a lot of things I have to do before leaving. So I'm sorry that I'm not able to post that much even there are a lot of things and pictures I'd like to share with you. But I will post & upload everything [in detail] after arriving in Germany on Monday!
Most people may know about the 'Sakura' - the Japanese cherry blossom - as a spring symbol here. You can see it everywhere. In the shops, in bakeries, in pastry shops, at the station - everything is pink colored like the blossom & advertised with the blossom itself or at least the word 'Sakura' itself. Starbucks offers a Sakura Cream Frappuchino, Sakura cheesecake, Sakura short cake, Sakura macaroon, Sakura Latte & much more!
Well, since I'm very passionated about things - especially if they're pink- my boyfriend & I went to Starbucks for trying a few things out last weekend.
My Sakura Cream Frappuchino & the Sakura Macaroon. Doesn't they look lovely together in pink? haha. The Frappuchino was quite yummy as the macaroon, too. I really love macaroons & I will miss them back in Germany.
Regarding macaroons, my boyfriend and I tried making our own macaroons this week. They weren't perfect, but as delicious as the ones you can buy in shops. Have a look at them.
They look a bit crappy - but I'm proud they even turned out as macaroons. haha. Have you ever thought about making your own macaroons?
